About Phoenix Drumline
Phoenix Drumline began its first competitive season in January 1994 and hosted its first home show, Distant Drums, one month later in February 1994.
Membership of Phoenix Drumline is open to students from 7th grade to 20 years old. The Drumline consists of two seasons: a summer performance unit and a winter competitive unit.
The summer performance unit participates in parades throughout the summer months, as well as community events such as the Hutchinson Water Carnival celebration, Relay for Life, McLeod County Arts Inspire Day, and the Glow Run.
The winter competitive unit performs in several shows during the winter months, including MPA and WGI Championships. Phoenix Drumline advanced to WGI Semi-Finals for the first time in its history in 2019 with their program, “What Baking Can Do”.
