Terry Lillis was raised in the small town of New York Mills, Minnesota and is currently living and working in Minneapolis. Terry has worked with a multitude of groups (Le Seuer-Henderson Marching Band, Mankato 77 Lancers, Coon Rapids Marching Band) and is currently writing and instructing his third year with Phoenix. He is also the business manager/front ensemble member of the Govenaires.

Bobby Bonslater

Battery Caption Head/Arranger

Currently residing in Chicago, Bobby teaches Performing Arts at Park Manor Elementary School and designs at many of the schools in the area, including Maine West High School. Bobby began his extensive performing experience in 2001 with the historic Racine Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps where his passion for the marching arts blossomed.  He continued his Drum Corps journey with Americanos (2004), East Coast Jazz (2005-06), Madison Scouts (2007), Kilties (2006,08,16), Govenaires (2009-15). Bobby is currently a marching member of Chops Drum Bugle Corps where he was recently recognized as the 2017 Mellophone Individual Champion.

Alongside his Drum Corps experience, Bobby was a marching member of the Americanos and Pioneer Indoor Percussion Ensemble earning a World Championship in 2008. Bobby served as Pioneer Indoor’s Cymbal and Visual Instructor in 2007, 14-17, earning a World Championship in 2007 and Silver medals in 2014 and 2015.

Bobby currently serves as the Cymbal and Visual instructor for Chops Percussion Indoor and Corps Director for Racine Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps
